1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to the Speaker Cleaner app for iPhone and iPad (the “App”). Speaker Cleaner is provided by its developer (“Speaker Cleaner,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). It explains what information is processed when you use the App, why it is processed, and the choices available to you.
For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].
2. Information used by the core App
The App generates sound frequencies locally to support Water, Dust, and Custom cleaning modes. Mode selection, playback progress, and custom frequency controls are handled on your device. We do not operate an account system or require you to provide your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, or microphone recordings to use these features.
The App does not need microphone access to play cleaning tones. It sends audio to your device speakers using Apple’s local audio frameworks.
3. Advertising and Google AdMob
If you are not a Premium subscriber, the App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to show App Open and interstitial advertisements. Google and participating advertising partners may automatically process information such as:
- IP address and approximate location inferred from it;
- device type, operating-system version, language, app identifier, and SDK information;
- advertising identifiers, including Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) only when Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission allows access;
- ad impressions, taps, interactions, diagnostics, fraud-prevention signals, and related timestamps; and
- consent and privacy signals used to determine which ad-serving mode is permitted.
Google may use this information to provide and personalize ads when permitted, measure advertising, limit repeated ads, produce aggregated reporting, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain its services. Depending on your region and choices, Google may serve personalized ads, non-personalized ads, limited ads, or technical ad delivery.
Learn more through How Google uses information from apps that use its services, the Google Privacy Policy, and Google’s advertising technologies information.
4. Consent, personalized ads, and tracking choices
The App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and refresh advertising consent where required. The consent form is controlled by Google and the privacy message configured for the App in AdMob. We do not maintain a separate server-side database of your consent choices.
Where required by law, personalized advertising is used only when the necessary consent is available. If you decline personalization, Google may use a less personalized ad-serving mode that is allowed by your choice and applicable law. The App does not attempt to override a refusal.
Where available, you can revisit your consent choices through Settings → Privacy → Privacy Choices in the App. You can also control Apple’s tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If tracking permission is denied, the Google Mobile Ads SDK does not receive the IDFA from the App.
5. Premium subscriptions and Apple services
The App offers an automatically renewing monthly subscription called Speaker Cleaner Premium. Product information, localized price, purchase processing, payment details, refunds, subscription management, and Apple Account information are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.
The App reads Apple-verified entitlement information to determine whether the subscription is currently active. This subscription status is kept in memory and refreshed from the App Store when the App opens; the App does not create its own subscription-status record in developer-controlled storage. Active Premium subscribers do not receive advertising requests from the App.
Apple’s handling of information is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy. The App may also ask Apple to display its standard in-app rating prompt; Apple controls whether and when that prompt appears.
6. Purposes and legal bases
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, information is processed for the following purposes:
- Providing the App and Premium access: performance of a contract or steps taken at your request.
- Advertising personalization and storage/access technologies: consent where required.
- Non-personalized or limited advertising, security, fraud prevention, and service integrity: consent where required, and otherwise legitimate interests or another basis made available under applicable law.
- Legal compliance and protection of rights: compliance with legal obligations and legitimate interests.
7. Sharing and disclosures
We do not sell personal information ourselves. Information may be processed or disclosed in these circumstances:
- Google and advertising partners: to deliver and operate ads as described above;
- Apple: to distribute the App, process subscriptions, verify entitlements, support refunds, and provide App Store services;
- legal and safety reasons: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, lawful process, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or prevent fraud; and
- business changes: if the App or its developer business is reorganized, transferred, or acquired, subject to applicable law and appropriate notice.
8. Retention
We do not operate a developer backend that stores profiles, cleaning-mode history, custom frequencies, payment details, or subscription records. Google, its advertising partners, and Apple retain information under their own policies and legal obligations. Retention periods can vary based on the type of information, consent choices, security needs, and applicable law.
9. International processing
Google, Apple, and their service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Those providers are responsible for using appropriate safeguards for international transfers as required by applicable law. See their linked privacy policies for more information.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Some requests relating to advertising or App Store data must be directed to Google or Apple because they independently control that information.
- Change in-app ad consent through Privacy Choices, when that option is required and available.
- Change tracking permission in iOS Settings.
- Manage Google ad personalization at My Ad Center.
- Manage Apple data at Apple Data and Privacy.
- Contact us at [email protected] for requests relating to the App developer.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the App’s operation. No internet transmission, SDK, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. The core cleaning features are performed locally, which reduces the amount of information handled by the developer.
12. Third-party links
The App or its legal pages may link to Apple, Google, or other websites. Their content and privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, advertising or subscription services, legal requirements, or our practices. We will post the revised policy here and change the “last updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent.
